What is the Wet Your Palettes experience like?
In a relaxed group setting, a local artist will guide you through replicating the nights featured painting step-by-step. You will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with your friends, and to meet new ones! This class is about individual expression – it is fail-proof! You will leave with your custom painting, that is uniquely yours. Classes are 2 hours long.
What exactly is the Finishing Class?
The Finishing class is for patrons who wish to bring their completed paintings back to receive more individualized instruction. Perhaps you want to enhance your painting, or maybe you didn’t finish before the session was completed. For a fee of $20, our local artist will help you to fine-tune your painting.
What exactly is a a Family Fun Session?
Family Fun Sessions are painting sessions that are open to our younger audiences. Looking for something to do with the young one in your life? Introduce them to art while spending quality time together! Paintings used in these sessions are child-friendly and easier to do! Adults must purchase a seat for the session until the child is 14 or over. Cupcakes are provided in these sessions and alcohol is NOT permitted.
Do I need to have experience with painting to be a success?
No experience is required! Our artists work with a step-by-step technique so that anyone can replicate the work.
What are your prices?
Our pricing for adult sessions is $50 per session. Our Wednesday Night sessions are discounted to $35 per session. Our Family Fun sessions are $25 per session. Our Finishing Classes are $20 per session.
Do I have to pay in advance?
It is recommended that you pay in advance, by using the payment tool on our website. Classes fill up quick, and once you arrive you will need time to set up and get comfortable at your work station.
Is there a minimum number of people required to have a class?
We require a minimum of eight guests in order to hold a class. In the event that you have paid for a class that did not meet our capacity requirements and the class is cancelled, you will be issued a credit toward your next class and asked to pick a different date.
What time do I need to arrive?
We suggest you arrive in the studio at least 15 minutes prior to the session start time in order to set up and grab a seat. Please allow ample time for parking. In the event that you are more than 15 minutes late for your session, you will be asked to reschedule. Reschedules of this nature can only be made the day of the originally purchased session in order to avoid seat forfeiture.
Is there reserved seating?
There is no reserved seating. If you are coming with a group and would like to sit together, we suggest you arrive early.
What equipment is provided to the customer?
We will provide you with an easel, a 16×20 canvas, paint, paintbrushes, smock, and paper towels. We have wine openers available for your usage.
Can we bring food and drinks?
We do not serve or sell alcohol. However, you are welcome to bring your non-alocholic beverage or wine of choice to our evening sessions. Light snacks such as fruit, cheese, and crackers are also permitted. You will have a limited area of space for your food beverage choice, next to your easel. Identification will be verified to ensure that all attendees of these evening sessions are at least 21 years of age. You will be asked to sign a waiver if you plan to consume alcohol (click here to download waiver). We ask that you keep consumption to a one bottle per duo maximum.
Can I bring alcoholic beverages, other than wine (ie, beer, vodka, etc)?
Only wine is permitted.
How would you describe appropriate attire?
Although we provide smocks to protect your clothing, acrylic paint is not removable from clothing. We suggest that you not wear your favorite clothes. We are not responsible for garments that are damaged by paint spillage.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a 48-hour cancellation notice. If you do not give a 48-hour cancellation notice you will lose your payment or gift certificate and the credit card will remain charged. If the 48-hour cancellation notice is provided, we will credit your reservation for another night. There will be no refunds issued.
How do I book a private party?
Private parties are great for Girls Night Out, Birthdays, Bachelorette Parties, Wedding Showers, Baby Showers, Corporate Events, Team Builders, and more! Please visit our Events page for more information on Events packages. Complete the Event Questionnaire on the Events portion of the site to inquire about availability.
Is there an age limit?
Due to the fact that alcohol is permitted during our evening sessions, you must be at least 21 years of age in order to attend these sessions (Weekdays/Weekends at 7:00pm). Identification will be verified at evening sessions. All ages are welcome during Daytime/Family Sessions where alcohol is not permitted. Guests under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Do you provide food and alcohol?
We do not serve or sell alcohol. However, you are welcome to bring your non-alcoholic beverage or wine of choice to our evening sessions only.
When do you post the new schedule?
Schedules are posted the 15th of the month prior. Instructor and painting are subject to change.
I’m an Artist. How do I apply for a position at Wet Your Palettes?
We are constantly hiring, and seeking enthusiastic and personable talent! Artists should submit their resumes and PDFs of acrylic work to info@wetyourpalettes.com.
What time to the doors to the studio open?
Studio doors open 30 minutes prior to session start. We use the time prior to set up and environment that is pleasing for our guests.
I forgot my wine – is there a liquor store nearby?
The nearest store that sells wine is the Yes! Organic Market. It is located in the shopping plaza adjacent to our studio.
I have been to Wet Your Palettes and I loved my art instructor. Is there a way that I can tell which nights he teaches?
Yes, the instructors name is detailed on the Calendar page. Click the painting to see who is teaching the painting class for that night.
Where can I park?
You can park in the rear of the building in any parking spot marked UNRESERVED. There is street parking along Longfellow street, and you may use the shopping center lot that houses Busboys and Poets and walk the block up to the studio. Please allow yourself ample time to find parking before class starts.
I purchased a Groupon or Living Social deal. How do I redeem it?
Deals are redeemed by selecting the painting you wish you paint from our calendar, and complete the booking process as if you were purchasing a session. Enter your REDEMPTION code in the Coupon Code Field. Enter the Number Code associated with your deal in the Numeric Code Field. Gring your printed Groupon/Living Social certificate with you to class. You must still sign a waiver. Codes are case sensitive.
I tried to use my Groupon/Living Social Deal and the website is still prompting me to pay. Why?
If your deal has expired, we have chose to honor your coupon at half of it’s value for two month’s after the expiration date. To redeem it, you will need to pay the difference as prompted by the website.
